Univ Lib spearheads National Book Week Celebration

The University Library headed the National Book Week Celebration on 25-29 November 2019 where various activities were participated in by the students from the various colleges. The following is the list of winners on the different contests led by the library personnel: Early birds: Melyn Sophia San Jose, Marilou O. Canoy, Jumabel R. Balagat and Rafaela C. Amata. Book Hunting: Jessie Barbosa, Jovilyn Godoy, Anmin Martinez, Glennel P. Chica, Neil Sean Dacillo, Jessica Bellen, Angelo Valiente , Jumie Ann Oxiemoso, Sinalyn F. Cavite and Harlene Paz. On the Spot Q & A: Billy Joe G. Irlanda, Adonis D. Violante, Eduard Boral, Hannah Angelica Bacolod, Hannag Grace Nacario, Edard Abragan, Noel Baluca, Jessie Barbosa, Jethro OrejuelaMica Nicole Monte, Angelo Valiente, Jeremiah Selleza, Maryjane Claveria and Althea Faith Botin. Guess the Book Page: Marjorie L. Adayo Spoken Poetry Winners: 1st Prize- Ricardo Briones, 2nd Prize- Maricris Onquit, 3rd Prize- Kien Lladop Consolation Prizes: Eddie Ponce, Marie Angela Rivera and Noli Soroan. Librarians’ forum was attended by librarians and staff from the four campuses sharing new knowledge on the following topics through the speakers: Data Privacy Act- Mr. Mark Anthony E. Eva; Fourth Industrial Revolution - Ms. Annielee S. Lopez; Updates on STARBOOKS - Mr. Kenneth B. Roman; Building a Library for the Next Generation - Ms. Rowena R. Manaog and Future Plans for the CBSUA Libraries - Dr. Rolando P. Oloteo. Culminating the celebration was the short program where spoken poetry was the main event and the awarding of prizes to all the winners on 29 November 2019.
