University Library Assessed in the First Institutional Accreditation

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture had its first Institutional Accreditation through the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Accrediting team last February 21-25, 2022 where there were nine areas were undergone evaluation by the accreditors.

The Librarians and staff of the University Library welcomed virtually Dr. Anita C. Sornito, the Accreditor for Area VII- Library during the first Institutional Accreditation Online Visit. Dr. Sornito evaluated the University Library on various documents such as administration, personnel, collection development, organization and preservation, procedures on the utilization of library resources and personnel services, physical setup and facilities, financial support, and linkages.

She likewise had an interviewed the University Librarian, Dr. Rolando P. Oloteo, regarding the different services provided to its library stakeholders. In addition to the documents presented, a virtual tour of the University Library showcases the enhanced physical setup of the library, Page Master V.5.0 Web-Based Library System, and the continuously upgrading learning resources.

In addition, a virtual tour to the Reading Center of the College of Veterinary Medicine was done. The College Dean, Dr. Aileen Mirabeles, was interviewed and she strengthened the partnership of the library and the college in providing assistance to students, faculty, stakeholders, clients, and researchers on learning resources. The IA closing program was held on February 24 at 4 pm via online.
